Parque Nacional da Quiçama

The Kissama National Park, covers an area of 9,600 km2, the Kwanza River forms the northern boundary, while the Longa River constitutes the southern border. It is a natural Sanctuary of many species such as the African Manatee and the Roan antelope. It was established as a game reserve in 1938 and classified as a National Park in 1957.

This park has a great diversity of vegetation, ranging from tropical dry forest, with cacti and baobab trees, to mangroves, tropical forests and savannahs. In it you can watch various animal species such as elephants, giraffes, birds and monkeys.
